Valentine's Decor

Ladies from my church held a class and made these adorable table runners. I chose my fabrics for Valentine's. The table runner was so quick and easy that I will probably make one for each holiday. I love it! And it cost approximately $5.

Then I found this frame for $1 at the thrift store, painted it with paint I already have, and bought this adorable paper for about $1. It looks MUCH better in person and I TOTALLY adore it!!!

Mod Podge Desk

We found this little former sewing desk at the thrift store for $5 (on 50% off day) and decided to use it as a desk in my daughter's room. She will not let me paint it just yet, but did ask for a mod podge drawer.

I let her pick out the paper and she selected this adorable ballet print. She helped me put it on and I think she did a great job. She is very happy about her new little desk.

I have had so much trouble with these vase. As you can see from my paint job which needs improvement. I bought them at the thrift store for 75 cents a piece, I think. My original intention was to make these. But the paint looked terrible when I took the rubber bands off. So then I got out my hot glue gun and used this for my inspiration. I bought the flowers at the dollar store. Total cost about $10. The spray paint cost the most.

Thrifty frames

My daughter found this adorable paper at the craft store. I couldn't tell her no so we ran to the thrift store and found this frame for 50 cents. I painted it pink, cut the paper to fit, and now she has this adorable princess picture for her room. Total cost $2.00.

Last week we also came across this adorable frame for Easter. It was $1.00 but we bought it on an 50% off day! Then I found this fun and sparkly Easter paper. Again, total cost was $2.00!

Family Wood Crafts

This is my version of what I found here. I admit that mine is not as cute, but I could not find larger hearts to save my life. So, I worked with what I could find. I allowed my kids to choose their colors. I am working on a picture to hang above it and will post them together when I get it finished.

The same day I bought cutouts for my kids to make their own...

Dad borrowed one of my son's so I will need to replace it.

Felt Wreaths

This is my lovely Valentine's wreath. I scoured my city for a heart shaped wreath to no avail. So I pulled this "Love" sign from my bedroom and slapped it on the wall with the wreath to make it a little more Valentine-like. My inspiration was found here.
.

My kids love the creation so much that they wanted to make their own. I allowed them to select the colors they wanted and this is what patterns they came up with...

They are both so proud of their work. I am too!

Doll clothes

This is my first attempt at creating doll clothes. I am fairly pleased with how it turned out. I found patterns here and went to work.

Men's apron

I made this apron for my nephew. He cooks a lot at his home and enjoys deer hunting so I decided to combine them. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Thrift store chair re-do

My daughter found this lovely chair at the thrift store. She needed one for her desk in her room. So we took it from this...

...to this. I took the seat off and gave it a little spray paint. While that dried we wrapped the seat in this adorable fabric then put the seat back on. Including drying time this whole project took about 15 minutes and cost less than $8.
